Brief Intro

The Schoodic Lake Charity Bass Tournament started in 2019 as a fundraiser to raise awareness for clean drinking water in under-developed countries. The original idea for the tournament was to use our crystal clear clean water lake to raise money for those who didn’t have clean water all while boosting the local economy for the weekend helping out the local businesses. After the first tournament was such a success, it was decided that this would be an annual event to raise money for charities across Maine. With the idea of including local high school alumni and business community members, the bass tournament became a summer lake attraction and fundraiser.

Our mission has now shifted to include more statewide outdoor recreational non-profits such House in the Woods, Camp Sunshine, Maine Adaptive Outdoor Recreation and more while supporting local Maine businesses.

To date the tournament has given $30,000 to charity.

Charities Include:

  • 2019 Thirst Project.
  • 2020 House in the Woods.
  • 2021 Camp Sunshine.
  • 2022 Maine Adaptive Sports and Recreation
  • 2023 Maine Veterans Project
