Through the PCCA Archery Program, Archers from age 8 to Adult, learn the USA Archery Steps of Shooting, from beginner instruction, to Advanced Archery skills, 3 week classes are held on Mondays, every month except June, July, and December. Classes are $35, for all 3 weeks, and includes use of our Archery equipment, or students can bring their own, any equipment brought must pass Safety inspection. PCCA’s Annual Children’s Ice Fishing Day, is an annual event held every February, giving Children and Families the opportunity to spend a great day on the Ice. Free Fishing! ~ Catch one take it home! Children ~ from toddlers to Age 15 – Participate & Experience ice fishing. Pre-drilled holes and Pre-placed ice fishing traps on LeVasseur Pond at PCCA Property Brewer ME. Equipment and bait will be provided! Activities monitored, supervised & taught by experienced fishers, sportsmen & women. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult! Please dress warmly! 1969: The PCCA offered its first Hunter Safety Course to 140 students ages 10-16. The Club was a leader in developing the instructional program adopted for use throughout the state. Over the years the Club has certified almost 6000 safe hunters through its two-day program offered annually at the Clubhouse. PCCA’s Annual Family Fun Day is held every June, a great way to bring families together for some great outdoor fun. This years date is June 21, 2025, 9 am to 2 pm Free event for families to learn about land and wildlife conservation. Kids will learn to tie a fly, use a fly rod, use a bow & arrow, try the air gun range, chat with a Maine Game Warden, and take a ride up the Penobscot river in a canoe. PCCA’s Annual Duck Box Days are held twice a year, once in the winter, and once in the spring. Saturday, May 3. Spring Duck Box Check at Stetson. We will be checking boxes, banding hen wood ducks and hooded mergansers and counting their eggs. Meet at 8:30 at the club camp on New Sweden Road. The 2025 PCCA Bangor Gun Show has a new location this year. We will be at the Bangor Elks Lodge on the Odlin Rd in Bangor. The show will have the best dealers around with so much to offer. Saturday September 6, 2025, 9:00am to 5:00pm Sunday September 7, 2025, 9:00am to 2:00pm Admission is still just $8.00 Law enforcement, and Military with ID, current NRA member $7.00 If not an NRA member, join at the show and get in free! 12 and younger, admission free with an adult.
